About

I am Saleh Md. Shahriar, an Assistant Professor in the Department of History & Philosophy at North South University(NSU), Dhaka. NSU is one of the pioneering seats of higher education and learning in Bangladesh. This brief introduction is about my credentials, acquired skills and experiences, and future professional goals and expectations.
I did my Bachelor (Honors) and Masters in Political Science. Then, I achieved my Ph.D. in Economics from Northwest A&F University (NWAFU) of China. I was awarded the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship to carry out my doctoral research during 2015–2019. My peer-reviewed articles appeared in a number of high-quality journals indexed in the Scopus, WoS and ABDC. My chapters are included in various edited volumes and global encyclopedias.
I am a regular peer reviewer and assistant editor of several reputed journals. I have presented my works in different international conferences and seminars. I am, however, open-minded and flexible in undertaking relevant collaborative research in the future. I look forward to making innovative and lasting contributions to the broader fields of Economics, Political Science and History. I am especially interested in Asian Studies with a focus on the global and regional implications of China's economic rise and its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). In addition, I have officially passed the Chinese Language Proficiency Test (汉语水平考试) held in China.
Beyond my list of scholarly publications over a range of national and international subjects/issues, I wish to do more post-doctoral research and publications in specific areas, subject to the availability of funding and other opportunities for such activities in the future.
